A way to deal with bitterness.

Are you one of the people who is always angry with everyone or there are some people who have wronged you? Every time you feel betrayed and unwanted. Is there someone who wronged you and you never had it in your heart to forgive them? Are you bitter with yourself because you did something that caused you trouble or the situation you are in right now?

 If you are in the above categories of people, this is for you. For sure all is not lost. It is possible to enjoy life again, remember life is life and if you desire to make it alive enough by staying alive. Think of the many diseases that are caused by bitterness and stress. All the terminal or rather chronic diseases are in some way caused by bitterness. Talk about high blood pressure, hypertension just to name a few.

 Take a seat, go to a cool place alone and ask yourself these questions: Am I justified to be angry when others are enjoying their lives? This lover that left me was she meant for me, should i cry when he/she is happy elsewhere? This person who caused the problem am facing is happy wherever he is, why should i be the one to always be angry? These are just but a few questions that you can ask yourself while alone and many other useful questions.

Many times bitterness is caused by us failing to forgive those who hurt us. We keep them in our hearts forgetting that our hearts are too small to keep everyone.   

Ephesians 4:31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.

There is life in forgiveness, there is life in delight, there is life in celebration, there is life for all. Let us enjoy life...

How to deal wicked thoughts

Sometimes as Christians in this journey of salvation,we are faced with situations whereby our minds becomes a battlefield. Many thoughts run through the mind,sometimes we overcome them but other times we find ourselves on the receiving ends. Sometimes the thoughts are very 'stubborn'. Most people speak ill and insult us even when we have not wronged them. In such situations we are quick to judge them. Let's learn to forgive them because some of them don't even have the power to resist. Sometimes we are faced with thoughts of: love, caring, righteousness,hate,murder,slander,sexual immorality, blasphemy, pride and many others. Christians also face the burden of having to deal with wicked thoughts. For example someone wrongs you,thoughts of hatred fills your mind,your heart then your hatred becomes too much. Let us look at some points that can help us deal with these thoughts:

Accept the reality the thoughts exist
This is usually the first step in getting a solution. The devil wanders around the world with an intention to devour. 1Peter 5:8-9  Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.(NIV). Just be aware that he will not stare at you while you enjoy your peace and joy. Since your heart and mind are the battlefield you need to stay put. Ephesians 6:13-17 ¹³ Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. ¹⁴ Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, ¹⁵ and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. ¹⁶ In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. ¹⁷ Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.(NIV)

Prayer
This is communication between man and God. It is the solution of all the problems we have. Someone said that the distance between the problem and the solution is equal to the distance between your knees and the ground. This means for any problem you face kneel down and pray to God for the solution. Ephesians 6:18  ¹⁸ And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Make a deliberate decision to avoid wicked thoughts 
This is very important,instead of praying and sitting in our comfort zones, we will have to pray and make a deliberate decision to avoid the bad thoughts. Ever heard of brethren killing each other. This is where it all starts.Mathew 15:19  For out of the heart come evil thoughts--murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.The more you stay in your bad thoughts, the more sad you became. Everyone of you must have experienced this. Even the Psalmist, David went through the same problem.  Psalm 13:2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?

e-mail to the future wife from a born again brother.

Darling, how are you. Hoping you are fine wherever you are. You have been my prayer item for along time now as my heart longed for you. How nice will it be to meet the woman specifically made for me, from my rib,who has my missing rib. Perhaps you will fill the void that has existed in my heart for a long time now. Daily i pray to God for revelation but you remain hidden. It means i will have to seek God first in order to find you. Because for Him to reveal you to me ,i should have a good relationship with Him. I won't get tired of waiting because i know you are there and you are good.
How i wish and hope that you keep yourself well for ourselves because once joined we shall become one.How i wish that you have the same zeal as mine to meet me. How i wish that you remain pure and keep our marital bed undefiled i offer a prize if you will fulfill this one. I don't want to say what kind of prize but just be sure the prize will have a great price.
Help me pray for our family because its our responsibility.Don't worry wherever you are because i am waiting for you. I love you.

To the ushers i think the ladies who dress indecently should not be allowed to sit at the front but at the back where they can not distract our devoted brothers.

Are you in the habit of not Believing in the Lord.

 ^{Hebrews 3:7-18
   7} So, as the Holy Spirit says:

“Today, if you hear his voice,
⁸     do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion,
    during the time of testing in the wilderness,
⁹ where your ancestors tested and tried me,
    though for forty years they saw what I did.
¹⁰ That is why I was angry with that generation;
    I said, ‘Their hearts are always going astray,
    and they have not known my ways.’
¹¹ So I declared on oath in my anger,
    ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ”^[b]

¹² See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. ¹³ But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. ¹⁴ We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end. ¹⁵ As has just been said:

“Today, if you hear his voice,
    do not harden your hearts
    as you did in the rebellion.”^[c]

¹⁶ Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? ¹⁷ And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness? ¹⁸ And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed? ¹⁹ So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.


Don't be so lost in unbelief because God is so much against it and it attracts His punishment. The unbelieving will be cast in the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Ever thought that you are too righteous to repent,think again

Ecclesiastes 7:20
"Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins."

That is the word of God. The problem with the society today is that some people think they are too righteous to sin. Remember sin is everywhere and every time. Sometime you commit it even when you are not willing to.Sometime you sin when you are not aware you are sinning. Let's learn to repent and our God will forgive us.


1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
